Getting Here

By Car

Glynneath sits on the A4109 in the Vale of Neath, just off the A465 Heads of the Valleys road — one of the main east–west routes across South Wales.

  • From Neath & Swansea — Follow the A465 northbound. Take the exit for Glynneath (A4109). Leicester House is on the High Street as you enter the village centre. About 20 minutes from Neath, 30 minutes from Swansea.
  • From Cardiff & the M4 — Take the M4 to Junction 43 (Neath/Llandarcy), then follow the A465 north to Glynneath. About 50 minutes from Cardiff city centre.
  • From Merthyr Tydfil & the Heads of the Valleys — Follow the A465 westbound. The Glynneath turn-off is well signposted. About 25 minutes from Merthyr.
  • From Brecon — Take the A4067 or A4221 south through the Brecon Beacons, joining the A465 near Glynneath. About 35 minutes.

By Public Transport

Glynneath is served by bus routes connecting to Neath and the wider Swansea Bay area. The X5 and 158 services stop on or near High Street. There is no railway station in Glynneath, but Neath railway station (on the South Wales Main Line) is about 20 minutes by bus.
